National Child Safety Week kicked off in Dundee with an information and advice stall stationed in the City Square.

This year's theme is aimed at getting parents to think about how long it would take to ensure basic safety precautions in the home.

A free home safety visit can be arranged as part of the initiative, which is organised by the local council, Tayside Fire & Rescue, The Brooksbank Centre and City Blinds.

Environmental Services Convener Jimmy Black said, "We are offering practical information and solutions that can take just a moment to put into practice."
